Educational Programs
Learning Community
Successful programs designed to build a community of students with common academic goals and dedication to academic excellence. Members of each community take the majority of their first year classes with the same group of 24 students each quarter. Each group attends classes, studies, learns, and excels together. Students in the program benefit from vital support services needed to succeed in UC Riverside's rigorous science and math courses. Students in the program also benefit from efficient course registration.
First Year Success Series
A series of workshops and seminars designed to guide you through all of the first year. Workshops include such topics as: "Managing Stress for a healthier Life", "Part-Time & Job Search/Beginning Resume Writing", and "Involvement on Campus: Your Key to Success! "; as well as many others!
Education Abroad Program (EAP)
EAP offers full-year and short-term programs in a wide range of academic disciplines. Most EAP participants take regular host university courses. In some programs, you can study language and take special courses designed for foreign students. In others, you can undertake specialized studies in your major, take courses to add breadth to your general education, and conduct research.
CNAS Centers and Institutions of Research
With over 14 centers and institutes of research, CNAS is a is internationally renowned for its research in: pest and disease sciences, environmental sciences, conservation biology, genome biology, materials science, and nanotechnology.

Visit the Student Life site for information about student organizations and clubs, Honor Societies, Peer Volunteerism, Leadership Retreats, campus events, and many other activities that can enhance your involvement with UCR
UC Riverside Washington Program (UCDC)
The UC Washington Academic Internship Program offers qualified undergraduate students from any major an exciting opportunity to combine course work, field research and work experience during a quarter's residence in our nation's capital. While in Washington, you can live in a residential college with approximately 250 students from nine University of California campuses. The UC Washington Center includes student apartments, classrooms, computer facilities, and meeting spaces and is located in central Washington, D.C.
Honors Program
The University Honors Program (UHP) at UC Riverside is a community of high achieving, passionate students who strive to reach their fullest potential while contributing to the world. The UHP connects the brightest of UCR students with the top professors at UCR for research, focus driven classes, and individual projects. Honors students have gone on to work in many areas, including politics, environmental research, publishing, teaching, the Peace Corps, and medical fields.

Guide To Academic Recovery: To assist students who are in academic difficulty such as being on "Academic Probation" or "Subject to Dismissal." This manual is not designed to replace consultation with a faculty mentor or the professional academic advisors in the CNAS Undergraduate Academic Advising Center. It gives information about Academic Probation status, sources of advice and counsel, CNAS policies and procedures as applied to students in academic difficulty, and options for students who are dismissed from the University
